MIKE OSTER
Speaker • Trainer •Author
A combat veteran, Mike served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, bringing real-world insight into leadership, resilience, and high-performance teams. His military education includes a fellowship at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver as part of the U.S. Army War College, complementing academic degrees in Business Economics and Industrial Management from South Dakota State University.
Mike’s leadership experience spans the boardroom, the battlefield, and the community. He has served on numerous nonprofit and volunteer boards and draws from his rich personal life—36 years of marriage to his wife Jo and raising four children—for authentic, relatable lessons in perseverance, teamwork, and personal growth.
With a passion for helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential, Mike delivers a powerful message of self-improvement, performance excellence, and mindset mastery. His mission is simple but profound: to help people and organizations perform at such a high level that Excellence becomes their Average. Mike believes that when we become better at who we are, we become better in all that we do.

Mike has been providing keynote presentations and training seminars to groups and organizations for over 20 years. His background includes working for a Fortune 500 company, serving as an elected official, owning and operating private businesses, and serving on a number of volunteer community and non-profit boards.
Mike is also a best selling author from his book “It Starts With Attitude, How to Live in a Place Where Excellence Becomes Your Average” Mike is a Veteran serving two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and wore the military uniform for 36 years. He recently retired at the rank of Brigadier General.

Mike prefers that a computer be provided for him to use during his speech.

Mike will book his own travel to the event.

Mike's preferred hotel chain is Marriott.

Mike will coordinate transport and include it in the overall expense to the client.

Recordings
Restrictions or conditions in regards to recording your presentation: Recordings can only be used inside of the clients organization and Mike would like a copy of whatever is recorded.
Expense Charges
Expenses are usually charged as a flat rate of $1,000 to $1,500 plus up to 2 nights lodging.
